FLOWERS by Teppei Takeda
Painter Teppei Takeda, known for pushing the boundaries of contemporary art,
has released his long-awaited second book, FLOWERS. This new collection
coincides with his first solo exhibition in five years, opening on November 15 at
MAHO KUBOTA GALLERY, and showcases Takeda's unprecedented approach
to the classic subject of flowers. With FLOWERS, Takeda continues his
exploration of art history, reimagining traditional themes with a vision entirely
his own.
Artist Profile
Born in 1978. Born in Yamagata City, Yamagata Prefecture. Graduated from Musashino Art University's Department of Visual Communication Design. Started painting in his current style in 2013. In 2016, held a solo exhibition 'Painting and Painting, Its Painting and The Painting' at KUGURU, in Yamagata City. In September 2019, held his first Tokyo solo exhibition 'Paintings of Painting' at MAHO KUBOTA GALLERY. In 2024, held 'As if these were flowers' exhibition in the same gallery.
